India's Largest Track Slab Factory Built in Kim Village, Surat Boosts Bullet Train Project The construction of the bullet train track between Ahmedabad and Mumbai has gained significant momentum. The work on piers and viaducts covering a 300-kilometer stretch has been completed. Special tracks, using Japanese technology for bullet trains, are being installed. To manufacture these tracks, a factory has been set up in Surat, Gujarat, under the supervision of Japanese engineers. News Station editor

SMRT has completed a S$7 million, two-year project to upgrade Bishan Depot, doubling its overhaul capacity from two trains a month to four. The Depot 4.0 project brings in autonomous vehicles, robots and new digital systems that cut manpower needs by about 30 per cent and speed up overhaul work. The upgraded facility was launched by SMRT chairman Seah Moon Ming, with Acting Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow and former transport minister Khaw Boon Wan present. | Mothership
