Flipper was a family adventure TV series that aired from 1964 to 1967. It followed the lives of a bottlenose dolphin named Flipper and his human friends, the Ricks family, in the Florida Everglades. The show mixed fun, wildlife, and light drama, becoming a classic of 1960s television. Flipper was actually played by multiple dolphins, mostly female, because they were smaller, calmer, and easier to train than males. The most famous dolphin used was named Mitzi. The dolphin sounds used for Flipper’
