This has been one of the most incredible food weeks of my life and this recipe is the result! Shrimp DeJonghe was created by Henri, Pierre, and Charles DeJonghe in the late 19th century at their hotel and restaurant on East Monroe Street. I experimented with the original and reimagined recipes until I arrived at my version — perfectly cooked shrimp, a rich and aromatic sauce, topped with a golden blanket of seasoned breadcrumbs.
