The FDNY Special Operations Command Task Force (SOC-TF) conducted a full scale exercise last week, which simulated a terrorist event in a dual tunnel used for vehicles and trains, and an explosion on a commercial passenger ship. When fully activated and deployed, the SOC Task Force is modeled after an 80 member FEMA Type I Urban Search and Rescue Task Force.
