#JSO Chief Brian Kee held a stand-up this morning in reference to an officer involved shooting that occurred on the City’s westside. Upon arriving to a reported Burglary, the two responding officers were ambushed by an armed suspect. One of the two officers was struck by gunfire, but was able to return fire. The suspect was able to flee the area in a vehicle taken during the burglary. He later crashed on the Dames Point Bridge before jumping into the St. John’s River, according to witnesses. The
