Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are getting Nintendo Switch 2 versions for the new console. Alongside the in-game upgrades, Nintendo's adding a number of additional features through the new Zelda Notes option in its Nintendo Switch App,
Breath of the Wild and its sequel will be optimized on Switch 2 with faster load times, 4K/60fps on TV and 1080p/60fps on handheld.
They come with a new Zelda Notes feature via the Nintendo Switch app.
One of these is with first-party exclusive games that you can only play on the console. Traditionally, this is something Nintendo has excelled at, and with its refusal to port games to PC, if you want to play a Mario or Zelda game you have to buy a Nintendo console.
N64 games on Nintendo Switch Online are set to receive a major upgrade when the Nintendo Switch 2 releases this summer.
Accessory prices are all a fair bit more expensive than those released on the Nintendo Switch, with Joy-Con 2 controllers costing $90, Switch 2 Pro Controllers listed at $80, the Switch 2 Dock Set, $110, and the new Nintendo Switch 2 Camera listed at $50. Once again, however, all these prices are subject to change.
