World Wrestling Entertainment announced Saturday that its annual Wrestlemania event is returning to Las Vegas in 2026 instead of New Orleans. WWE last month told New Orleans sports and tourism officials that the event slated for April 2026 in New Orleans would be canceled, leaving a big hole in the tourism calendar .

WWE announced that WrestleMania 42 is set for April 18 and 19, marking the second consecutive year the marquee event will be held in Las Vegas. It will be the first time since 1988 and 1989 that WrestleMania is held in the same venue two years in a row.

WWE WrestleMania will return to Las Vegas for consecutive years. During Saturday's broadcast of Money in the Bank, WWE chief content officer Paul Levesque confirmed WrestleMania 42 for Las Vegas.

A historic occasion will transpire as WWE and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide join forces for Worlds Collide 2025. The event comes after WWE purchased AAA in April, and the two brands will finally share a day that features some of the rising stars in the industry going against some of lucha libre's big names.

WWE's World Collide has often served as a special event to explore the larger world of professional wrestling, but without NXT UK, it has not been utilized in several year.
