Ten teams have completed undefeated seasons in women’s college basketball history, the latest in 2023-24 when South Carolina went 38-0, ultimately defeating Iowa in the national title game to capture the program’s third championship.
Eight were ranked in last week's Associated Press Top 25: UConn (1), Texas (2), LSU (5), Maryland (7), TCU (8), Iowa State (10), Vanderbilt (14) and Nebraska (24). Texas Tech, Alabama and Georgia received votes. Arizona State was shut out.

The USC and UConn women's basketball teams honored the late Kobe and Gigi Bryant during their matchup on Saturday, Dec. 13 in Los Angeles, California. Gigi would be a freshman in college this year, and had dreamt of playing for UConn.

Fellow unbeaten Texas, which walloped Baylor 89-54 in Forth Worth Sunday, got the remaining eight first-place votes and totaled 976 points to stay at No. 2.
