Audiences know very little about the upcoming Legend of Zelda film. The announcements so far have been light on story details, but if the live-action franchise wants to draw in a larger crowd of non-gamers, it should steer away from the franchise's complex timeline.

Nintendo reportedly is going all-in on its eventual Legend of Zelda live-action adaptation, and it wants to go a trilogy before the first one is even made.

Nintendo unveiled the release date for the upcoming live action adaptation of its classic video game series "The Legend of Zelda" on Friday.

As part of the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo announced that they will bring Switch titles to Switch 2 with enhanced versions.
