Thousands of people nationwide have shown up at protests and rallies opposing ICE raids as unrest grows in response to the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.

The sweeps have fueled six days of protests resulting in hundreds of arrests in Los Angeles and the demonstrations have spread across the nation.

Protests over immigration raids have broken out in several other cities, including Chicago, New York, San Antonio and Spokane, Washington.

Mayor Bass announced a curfew for downtown Los Angeles following four nights of sporadically chaotic protests. Also, ICE has expanded into rural communities following days of coordinated raids in urban areas of Los Angeles County.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta outlined why he and California Gov. Gavin Newsom are suing the Trump administration, saying President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth unlawfully "trampled over" California’s sovereignty when they federalized the California National Guard.
