ICE agents making arrests near Karmel Mall in Minneapolis had to call for help after a group of 60 to 70 protesters swarmed the scene on Monday.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Minnesota Reformer) – The American Civil Liberties Union of Minnesota and three Minnesota-based law firms sued federal immigration authorities Wednesday, alleging that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and their leaders are routinely violating the constitutional rights of the people protesting their actions.

Demonstrators protesting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) dropped ice into Boston Harbor on the 252nd anniversary of the 1773 Boston Tea Party, in which tea belonging to the British East India Company was thrown from ships into the water.

ICE says its investigative wing Homeland Security Investigations partnered with the IRS and other federal agencies to execute 16 federal search warrants across southern Arizona Friday, as part of a “years-long investigation into immigration and tax violations.

The controversy has drawn visitors, protests, and heightened church scrutiny. But supporters say the Bible is on their side.
