Two Houston police officers were injured in a crash early Sunday when their patrol vehicle was struck by a hit-and-run driver as they responded to a fatal stabbing in northeast Houston.

Two officers from the police department's westside patrol division arrived to the scene and started to walk around the complex, immediately hearing gunshots. The officers observed several people running around the complex and shooting at each other.
