Cody Rhodes emerged victorious in his match against NXT Champion Oba Femi at Saturday Night's Main Event, thanks to interference by Drew McIntyre.
In an exhibition match that took place at Saturday Night’s Main Event Saturday night in Washington D.C., WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and NXT Champion (and former Alabama Track and Field star) Oba Femi wrestled to a draw.
Drew McIntyre offered some choice words for both Oba Femi and Cody Rhodes after his confrontation with the two champions on Saturday Night's Main Event. He also said that he didn't watch John Cena's retirement match,
Oba Femi has achieved notable success in WWE's developmental brand since joining the company, securing victories in most of his matches. Given his potential, fans speculated about his promotion to the main roster after previously dropping the NXT Championship to Ricky Saints at No Mercy. But the authorities didn't pull the trigger.
