A massive wildfire burning in South Carolina jumped the border Saturday and was spreading Sunday into North Carolina.

On Sunday, officials said there was reduced fire behavior due to minimal winds and high humidity caused by the expected rain.

The fire was first reported on March 20, caused by a downed power line. North Carolina remains under a statewide burn ban.
