Eight people died and dozens more were injured in what appears to be one of the most deadly accidents in Kansas in recent years. More than 55 vehicles were involved. I-70 between Colby and Goodland remained closed Saturday afternoon after the accidents Friday when dirt driven by high wind caused low visibility on the highway.

Authorities in Kansas say at least eight people have died in a massive pileup on Interstate 70. The Kansas Highway Patrol confirmed Saturday afternoon that a large portion of I-70 between Goodland and Colby remains closed as crews continue to work the crash scene that involves more than 55 vehicles.
