A Washington, D.C., man who won a Powerball drawing last week said he had a dream about winning big after the tragic deaths of his mother and his dog.

One man in D.C. had “Lady Luck” on his side when he won $1 million in a Powerball drawing. D.C. native Tommy W. purchased the winning lottery ticket at the Tenley Market on Wisconsin Avenue in Northwest.
