An Alaska State Troopers vehicle in Wasilla. An Alaska State Trooper shot and killed a man Friday who was armed inside a Wasilla motorhome, according to the agency.

The man was wanted on a parole violation and armed with a handgun during the incident in Meadow Lakes on Friday afternoon, Alaska State Troopers said.

Troopers say they have seen a slight increase in injuries and fatalities in ATV crashes across Alaska this year.

A pair of Alaska State Troopers were indicted on assault charges on Wednesday related to the forcible arrest of a man this summer on the Kenai Peninsula, according to the Alaska Department of Safety.
