With the offseason winding down for the Detroit Tigers, the team is getting prepared to prove that last season was no fluke.

Also, Parker Meadows was not expected to play Monday, even before the spring game against the Jays was canceled. Biceps soreness has him day to day.

Jack Flaherty made a round trip from LA to Detroit, as he re-signed with the Tigers in the offseason. The right-handed pitcher joins reigning Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal after winning the World Series with the Dodgers.

Because Flaherty pitched until the end of October, his activation into spring games was intentionally delayed. So some rust was expected.
