Many restaurants are offering free meals, coffee or other discounts for veterans, active-duty military members and their spouses on Veterans Day.

Since Veterans Day is a federal holiday, the post office will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 11 and the mail will not run. Keep that in mind if you’re expecting a check, important document, have something urgent to mail or simply want to get a jumpstart on sending out your holiday cards.
