For the fifth time in the last 11 playings of the Masters, Tiger Woods is sitting on the sidelines. The five-time green jacket winner did not tee it up in the 89th Masters this week at Augusta National as he continues to recover from a ruptured Achilles,

Tiger Woods will be missing this tournament for the fifth time in his career after suffering an abrupt Achilles injury in March. The five-time Masters champion last won the tournament in 2019, but hasn't finished higher than 38th place since then.

The honorary starters for the 2025 Masters are Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tom Watson. Nicklaus has played that role since 2010. He was joined by Player in 2012 and then by Watson in 2022.
