A man was sentenced to more than 27 years in jail on Monday for killing a former co-worker in an act fueled by jealously.

An armed suspect is in a standoff with police outside a restaurant near Northwest 21st Avenue and Northwest Irving Street, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
