Atlanta Falcons great Julio Jones did not suit up for an NFL team in 2024, and on Friday made his retirement official. One of the great wide receivers of the 2010s, Jones will hang up his cleats after 13 years in the league. Jones made the announcement official on the "Squad" app, as shared by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

A.J. Brown said the NFL is saying goodbye to "the best WR to play the game" after the Friday retirement announcement of Julio Jones. "The best WR to play the game in my book," Brown wrote in a Friday social media post honoring Jones. "Taught me how to play the position before we even met.

Jones, a seven-time Pro Bowler best known for his time with the Atlanta Falcons, last played in the NFL in 2023.
