North Macedonia has shut down dozens of nightclubs following a fire in the eastern town of Kocani that killed 59 people.

Funeral services are being held across North Macedonia for victims of the March 16 nightclub fire, which claimed 59 lives.

The blaze broke out around 2:35 a.m. during a concert by a local pop group at the Pulse nightclub, Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski told reporters.
