Minneapolis' police chief is criticizing federal immigration agents after a confrontation with protesters on Monday.
Six minutes after Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officer Mark Eshe arrived at an anti-ICE protest on June 11, he fired 20 rounds of pepper ball bullets into the crowd, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday. Less than 10 minutes after that, he had fired another 37 rounds.
ICE agents making arrests near Karmel Mall in Minneapolis had to call for help after a group of 60 to 70 protesters swarmed the scene on Monday.
The lawsuit says ICE agents pepper-sprayed, arrested and “even followed observers home to scare them in a tactic lifted straight from the mafia.”
Local police said the DHS claimed agents were being 'attacked' by 'agitators,' but when they arrived said they 'did not witness any attacks or any agents needing medical attention.'
