Nick Schmaltz’s top-shelf move secured Utah Hockey Club’s first-ever shootout win, capping an eventful game against the Capitals.

The Utah Hockey Club has announced that goalie Connor Ingram has played in his 100th career NHL game. Ingram, 27, has appeared in 20 games as a member of Utah HC. He also played in 77 games with the Arizona Coyotes and three with the Nashville Predators.

In his first NHL game in nearly two years, Jaxson Stauber held the powerhouse Vegas Golden Knights off the score sheet in their own barn, earning the first shutout in Utah HC history. Stauber hung around the team until Ingram returned, relieving Vejmelka in back-to-back situations. He earned a record of 2-1-1 and he never looked out of place.
