Break trip to the mountains of Colorado ended in fatal tragedy after a 20-year-old skier from Kansas collided with a tree.

Andrew McDonald, 20, of Shawnee, Kansas, died after crashing into a tree while skiing at a Colorado ski resort.

Park Ski Patrol received a call at 10:52 a.m. reporting that a skier had collided with a tree on the Lupin trail.
