The United States gained a decent 64,000 jobs in November but lost 105,000 in October as federal workers departed after cutbacks by the Trump administration, the government said in delayed reports.
The November jobs report, which was delayed by about a week as Bureau of Labor Statistics workers caught up after the government shutdown, was released on Tuesday morning. And it was rather dismal.
Data will cover two consecutive months due to disruption caused by the shutdown.
