Nationwide, Americans with concerns about U.S. President Donald Trump's policies and the influence of billionaire Elon Musk plan to protest April 5.

Here is a look at the powerful scenes from coast to coast as Americans rallied under the “Hands Off!” banner. From massive city crowds to small-town marches, the nation stood united in protest against sweeping federal cutbacks.

Hands Off protests against the Trump administration and its supporters kicked off in the US, as well as Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Mexico and Portugal.

Hundreds of students from some of the largest schools in the D.C. area will rally outside the Department of Education Friday to oppose the gutting of the agency.
