Guard Mikayla Blakes led the team with 19 points on 7-for-19 shooting and six rebounds. Forward Sacha Washington was not too far behind Blakes, finishing with 16 points on 5-for-9 shooting with six rebounds and two assists.

Vanderbilt's Clark Lea won't be coaching in the College Football Playoff, but he was recognized for the Commodores' outstanding season.

The Vanderbilt football coach on Tuesday was named the 2025 Eddie Robinson national coach of the year, presented by the Football Writers Association of America and the Allstate Sugar Bowl. He will receive a bust of the late Robinson — a College Football Hall of Fame coach at Grambling for 55 years — at a reception in Miami on Jan. 17, 2026.
