The cancelations come in the midst of a widespread crackdown against students federal officials contend are acting against national interests.

A "small number of international graduate students" at the University of Kentucky have had their student visas or status revoked, officials said.

Universities across Minnesota are scrambling to help international students after more students had their visas revoked, schools reported Thursday, just a day after five international students in Mankato had their student visas terminated.

Colorado State University said on Wednesday that an additional student had their visa revoked after several were revoked a day earlier. The Department of State acknowledged the move but won't say why they were revoked.

In consultation with their home country embassies and private immigration attorneys, both students made the decision to depart the United States,” according to the university.

NC State enrolls the most international students of any school in the public UNC System and hosts the second-most international students of any university in the state.

The revocation for students at UC comes as a handful of students at universities across the country have had their visas revoked.
