Providence and the union representing its striking nurses will resume in-person talks for the first time since the two sides reached an ill-fated agreement nearly two weeks ago, the Oregon Nurses Association said Monday.

As the strike between Providence hospital nurses and management rolls on into its second month, another round of bargaining is set to begin Tuesday.

In an email, 11 of the city council’s 12 members urged a return to the bargaining table, calling it a matter of public health and safety.
