Donald Trump has been gloating in recent weeks about CBS’ decision to cancel Stephen Colbert and “The Late Show,” and now he’s targeting another one of the network’s on-air personalities: “CBS Mornings” co-host Gayle King.

The speculation surrounding King’s CBS future comes as Paramount recently sealed an $8.4 million merger with the media company Skydance. According to the Post, the merger gained FCC approval following Paramount’s elimination of DEI policies and after Skydance agreed to hire an ombudsman to monitor CBS News for political bias.

The Federal Communications Commission has cleared the way for Paramount Global to complete its merger with Skydance Media, announcing Thursday that it has approved the deal. The decision removes a final hurdle for the media and entertainment companies to close their transaction. Paramount is the parent company of CBS.

Longtime Ellison lieutenant Dana Goldberg will run Paramount Pictures with former Sony executive, Josh Greenstein. Only one senior Paramount executive, George Cheeks, will remain after this week's Skydance takeover.
