By sunrise Sunday, New Englanders could see 3 to 6 inches of snow on the ground, but that total will increase by a couple more inches before noontime, putting the total forecast accumulation around 4 to 8 inches for much of Southern New England. About 3 to 6 inches are expected along the coast and north of the Mass. border.
