Amanda Seyfried is forever indebted to Mean Girls. In an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Seyfried reflected on the 2004 teen comedy and the “unadulterated fun” she had while making the film when she was 17.

Getting to play Karen again was something that I’ve really wanted to do for so long and kind of a mindfuck. Because I know she’s inside of me in so many ways, because I played a version of her in my own high school in order to stay out of the drama.
