Morning hours (especially before 9 a.m.): Light showers continue, especially near the coast and in southwest Harris County, including areas along FM 646 and near the Beltway. Some lightning was detected early, but rainfall rates remain light at about a quarter-inch per hour.

Lookout for a few pop-up storms this afternoon as we enter the hottest point of the day. The sea breeze is kicked in and the radars become active this Wednesday.
