The world of Avatar, with its giant blue cat people, talking whales and dragon-like public transport may not immediately strike you as a mirror image for our world. But with the third entry in the series, Avatar: Fire and Ash, hitting cinemas this week, that’s exactly what it’s come to feel like for one of its mega-stars, Sigourney Weaver.

The American Cinematheque has announced its honorees for the 5th annual Tribute to the Crafts, which includes Avatar: Fire and Ash, Frankenstein, Kpop Demon Hunters, Sinners and Weapons, among others.

Avatar: Fire and Ash will be debuting not one, not two, but four separate trailers for Avengers: Doomsday once it debuts next week.

In a note addressed "Dear Theater Technician," Cameron outlines what employees should be looking out for when exhibiting the movie. "There's a Projection Specification file and framing chart included with the DCP [Digital Cinema Package], with crucial information regarding light levels, audio configuration, proper framing, etc," it reads.
