Bayern Munich, Benfica, Club Brugge and Feyenoord all advanced on Tuesday to the UEFA Champions League round of 16, with the final four spots to be determined on Wednesday.

AC Milan looked to be in control of their Champions League destiny at home to Feyenoord on Tuesday before the sending off of Theo Hernandez turned the playoff on its head although coach Sergio Conceicao refused to blame the defender for their exit.

AC Milan was to left rue Theo Hernandez’s sending off for diving as Feyenoord progressed to the Champions League last 16 at the former European champion’s expense with a 1-1 draw in the second leg of their playoff.
