Milwaukee Film has partnered with the Milwaukee Women's Fund for a new series highlighting women filmmakers with film screenings, panel discussions and networking opportunities.

The Future of Film is Female will release 'Sunfish (& Other Stories On Green Lake)', the feature debut of writer-director Sierra Falconer, this fall.

Except, now it is. “An Autumn Summer” arrives Friday, on opening night of the Lake Michigan Film Festival. “It’s very nostalgic,” LMFF Director Erika Noud said.

The festival is confined to filmmakers from the four states touching Lake Michigan. It’s an offshoot of the East Lansing Film Festival.
