The Tickfaw River originates in Southwest Mississippi and flows 113 miles to Lake Maurepas, with several curvy miles passing through Tickfaw State Park in Livingston Parish.

Tickfaw State Park took a beating from Hurricane Ida nearly four years ago. The boardwalks had to be patched and rebuilt, and are now open. There is a large fishing pond and pier near the campground.

Many visitors to Tickfaw State Park spent Saturday enjoying a variety of activities with their children.
