Spring is finally upon us and summer camping trips are just around the corner, but many of America’s best sites require campers to book months in advance.

For more than 30 years, this private campground has drawn people south of Fort Myers Beach. Some sites are across the main beach road, but premium spots sit beneath palm trees right on the sand.

“People are constantly found sleeping on the beach, public parks and on people’s private property that are not invited guests,” PCB Police Chief Drew Whitman said.
