So far in July, only 329 of the 1,114 camping reservations at Woodward were from Stanislaus residents. Only 290 of the 1,060 reservations at Modesto Reservoir were in-county.

The reservoir was completed in 1915 by Modesto Irrigation District. This regional park offers 3,240 acres of land and 2,800 acres of reservoir for recreation and camping.

Stanislaus County officials said Friday reservoirs would partially reopen to residents, starting with the Modesto Reservoir this weekend.
