Marion County commissioners have pushed forward a resolution from the school board for a half-cent sales tax to appear on the general election ballot.
The tax is nothing new for Marion County residents and visitors alike. In 2016, voters said yes to the tax and it lasted for four years. The sales tax went from 6% to 7%.
