The Grant County Sheriff's Department has located the inmate they say escaped from a work crew Friday afternoon.

Authorities have found an inmate who escaped from the Grant County jail.

The jail has long been a source of angst and embarrassment in Grant County. Inmate lawsuits, personnel lawsuits, prisoner escapes and maintenance issues have plagued the jail for more than a decade.
