An extra-alarm fire was raging Thanksgiving Day at a strip mall in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood.As witnessed on scene early Thursday afternoon, the fire destroyed the Dollar Tree at 2517 W. Cermak Rd.

It was a relatively light month for grocery openings and closings in October. Dollar Tree had the most store openings with 22, while Family Dollar had the most closings with 12. Save A Lot had eight closings in the month of October. Other notables were Target (five openings) and CVS (four closings).
