After an impressive debut with the Cincinnati Reds, where he earned a spot in the All-Star Game, his performance was hampered by injuries and control problems. However, his ability to strike out batters and his experience in high-pressure situations make him an intriguing bet for the Rangers.

The Rangers are in agreement with reliever Alexis Díaz on a one-year deal, reports ESPN’s Jeff Passan. Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News first suggested that the sides were closing in on a deal, and has suggested the contract will be on the cheaper side.
