Bubba Wallace vowed to try to “enjoy the little stuff” this season. It showed in victory lane. “Can I get a Rolex for this one?” Wallace quipped, referring to what winners receive after the Rolex 24 at Daytona sports car race.

The win puts Wallace in the third starting spot for the Daytona 500, a race he’s never won but twice finished runner up.

The big one wiped out collected another six cars on Lap 15 including Wallace. The No. 23 McDonald’s Toyota Camry XSE took minor damage when J.J. Yeley spun to avoid the main wreck. Despite the damage, the 23XI Racing driver quickly moved forward when the green flag waved once again.
