Andrew Ferrarone’s wife, Nina, a flight attendant who took time off work after learning she was expecting, is now over eight weeks pregnant and preparing for single parenthood.

Beloved Big Bear bald eagle Jackie received a life-saving blood transfusion from another eagle but remains in critical condition despite showing encouraging signs of improvement.

A pregnant woman is mourning the loss of her husband after he plummeted six metres while rock climbing. Andy Ferrarone was visiting Big Bear in California with his wife, Nina, and another couple on July 12 when the tragedy happened.

The Friends of Big Bear Valley told CBS LA that Sandy, the female eaglet, appeared to land on another tree and is near her mother, Jackie.

"They perch on certain trees for certain reasons in certain areas."

There’s some good news for fans of beloved bald eagles Jackie and Shadow. Friends of Big Bear Valley, which operates the wildly popular nest live cam, announced Friday that the $10 million needed to save their Moon Camp habitat along Big Bear Lake has been secured.

The folks at the environmental nonprofit group Friends of Big Bear Valley say they had no idea the impact of installing two cameras atop the Fawnskin forest would have on the world. Since the cameras’ installation over  10 years ago,
