A camping website, “The Dyrt,” has released its annual ranking of what campgrounds are the best in America, and a couple of them are in California.

With its high number of national parks, dark skies, and rich diversity of wildlife, California was just named the best place to camp by safari company Asilia Africa.

Out of 500,000 campsites in the United States, fifteen in California were named some of the best in the nation, according to Hipcamp.

There are over 280 state parks in the Golden State—from Anza-Borrego Desert State Park to Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, these are the seven best state parks in California.
