From playing rock legends to gunslingers, Kilmer left a huge mark on Hollywood with a career spanning more than four decades.

Tom Cruise is paying tribute to his friend and “Top Gun” costar Val Kilmer, who died earlier this week at age 65. Cruise made a surprise appearance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Thursday during the Paramount Pictures presentation,

"Thank you, Val. I wish you well on your next journey," Cruise said of his late costar during the "Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning" presentation.
