But the Bruins took over from there, pulling away for a 73-59 win over the Sooners in an early season showdown between two of women’s college basketball’s top teams in Sacramento, California.

Oklahoma Sooners lose to No. 4 UCLA 73-59
The Oklahoma Sooners traveled to the West Coast for a top-10 showdown with the No. 4 UCLA Bruins in Sacramento on Monday night. The Sooners battled in the first half, but the more experienced Bruins took over in the second 20 minutes for the 73-59 win.
UCLA freshman Sienna Betts will miss the No. 3 Bruins' Top 10 matchup against No. 6 Oklahoma on Monday night while still dealing with a left leg injury. She is no longer in a boot but is still working toward full recovery.
